An Evening of Dance Movement Therapy

DMTO is proud to present An Evening of Dance Movement Therapy. This interactive presentation will include performances, research presentations, and demonstrations from some of Ontario’s leading Dance Movement Therapists and allies. An excellent opportunity to learn about DMT, connect with Dance Movement Therapists working near you, and help raise awareness about this incredible profession.

Doors will open at 6:30pm, with the presentations starting at 7:00, followed by a reception at 8:45. You can purchase tickets in advance through Eventbrite.

An Evening of Dance Movement Therapy welcomes anyone who is interested in Dance Movement Therapy. Whether you are a professional working in the field of psychotherapy or dance, you desire to train as a DMT, or are just curious about what DMT has to offer, this evening will offer a rich experiential introduction to the form.

All proceeds of this event will support DMTO in hosting workshops, professional development, and networking events, building our online resources, and developing a system of accreditation for Dance Movement Therapists working in Canada.

DMTO is committed to making this event accessible to all who want to attend. If you have financial barriers to accessing this event please contact us as soon as possible by sending an email to info@dmto.org and we will be happy to find a way to accomodate you.

There may be media present and we will be filming the event for promotional purposes. If you are not comfortable appearing on film, there will be a designated seating area for those who do not want their image captured.

Please note, this event offers educational and interactive elements, however, the event is a performative, rather than a therapeutic setting, and the act of psychotherapy will not be performed at any time.
